What Counts as a Pest Emergency

Not every pest problem is an emergency — but some genuinely cannot wait until next week. If you're experiencing any of the following, call us now rather than booking a regular appointment.

Wasp or Yellow Jacket Nest

An active nest near an entry, patio, or play area is a sting risk that cannot wait. We treat and remove the same day.

Rodent Sighting Inside the Home

A mouse or rat seen inside means the infestation is already established. Every hour of delay means more contamination and faster population growth.

Bed Bug Confirmed Before Travel

Discovered bed bugs before guests arrive or before you travel? Act immediately — they spread to new environments with luggage and clothing.

Termite Swarmers Inside the Building

Swarmers indoors mean a mature colony is present. The swarming window is short — call now while it's active so we can locate and treat the source colony.

Cockroach Infestation in a Commercial Kitchen

A health department visit is the least of your worries. Active cockroaches in a food service setting require immediate licensed treatment to protect your permit.

Wildlife or Rodent Entry into Attic or Walls

Hearing scratching, gnawing, or movement in your attic or walls? Entry points left open allow rapid re-infestation. We locate, treat, and seal same day.

Our Emergency Response Process

From your call to treatment completion — typically in a single visit.

01

Call Us Now

Reach a real person — not a voicemail — who can assess your situation, confirm availability, and dispatch a technician. We'll ask a few quick questions so the tech arrives prepared.

02

We Dispatch a Licensed Technician

A California-licensed exterminator heads to your address with the right products and equipment for your specific pest. No upselling on-site — we came to solve the problem.

03

Same-Day Treatment

We treat on the spot during the initial visit whenever possible. You receive a written service report and any follow-up instructions before the technician leaves your property.

Speed Matters for Each Scenario

Each pest emergency has its own biology — and biology doesn't pause while you wait for a weekday appointment slot.

Wasp and Yellow Jacket Nests

A colony can include 1,000–4,000 workers by late summer. Disturbing the nest — even accidentally — triggers a defensive response that can send dozens of stingers at once. Children and individuals with venom allergies face life-threatening risk. Same-day treatment removes the threat before another family member encounters it.

Rodents Inside the Home

Mice reproduce every 21 days and reach sexual maturity at 6 weeks. A single pair left unaddressed for one month becomes a population problem. Rodents also chew electrical wiring — a leading cause of house fires — and contaminate food surfaces with pathogens including Hantavirus and Salmonella.

Bed Bugs Before Travel or Guests

Bed bugs spread almost exclusively by hitchhiking on clothing, luggage, and furniture. A confirmed infestation 24 hours before a guest arrives or before travel is a race against exponential spread. Heat treatment or targeted chemical application must begin before the infestation has another opportunity to travel.

Termite Swarmers Indoors

Swarmers are reproductive termites — their appearance indoors means a mature colony (3–5 years old, 60,000–1 million workers) has already been feeding on your structure. The swarming season is a narrow window, typically spring and early summer. Inspecting and treating during or immediately after a swarm event is the most reliable way to locate the active colony.

Emergency Service FAQ

Do you really offer same-day pest control?

Yes. When you call during business hours — Monday through Friday 7 am to 6 pm, Saturday 8 am to 4 pm — we dispatch a licensed technician the same day in the vast majority of cases. Sunday response is available for true emergencies such as stinging insect nests near a health-risk situation or confirmed rodent entry into a living space. Call us and describe the situation; we will be honest about whether same-day dispatch is available for your location and circumstances.

What counts as a pest emergency?

We consider any situation a pest emergency when delay creates immediate health, safety, or property risk: stinging insect nests near high-traffic areas, active rodents inside living spaces, confirmed bed bugs before travel or guest arrival, termite swarmers inside a structure, cockroaches in a commercial food service environment, or wildlife accessing an attic or wall cavity. If you're uncertain, call and describe what you're seeing — we'll help you decide.

Do you charge more for emergency or weekend service?

Our service call fees are the same Monday through Saturday during standard hours. There is an additional dispatch fee for Sunday or after-hours emergency response. We'll give you the exact cost before committing, so there are no surprises when the technician arrives.

What should I do while waiting for the technician?

Stay away from the problem area — especially with stinging insects or rodents that may be cornered. Do not spray store-bought aerosols inside wall voids or into nest openings, as this can drive pests deeper or cause them to disperse before we can treat. For rodents, remove accessible food sources and seal open food containers. For bed bugs, do not move bedding or furniture to other rooms, which spreads the infestation. We'll give you any scenario-specific instructions when you call.
