Don't see your question?
Call or text us — we answer fast.
How quickly can you respond to a pest emergency?
For urgent situations, we typically respond same-day or next-day. For routine services, most customers are scheduled within 1–3 business days. Call us at (831) 500-1613 for immediate assistance — we answer fast.
Are your treatments safe for children and pets?
Yes. We use EPA-registered products and choose the least-toxic effective treatment for each situation. Our technicians will advise you on any precautions needed — typically a short re-entry period after application — and answer all your questions before beginning.
What counties do you serve?
We serve Monterey County, San Benito County, Santa Cruz County, and Santa Clara County. Cities include Salinas, Monterey, Seaside, Hollister, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, San Jose, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, and dozens more. Contact us to confirm service to your specific address.
Do you offer free inspections?
Yes, we offer free inspections for most pest control situations. A licensed technician will visit your property, identify the pest and scope of the problem, and provide a written estimate at no charge and with no obligation.
What is the difference between a termite inspection and a general pest inspection?
A termite inspection is a specialized assessment of your structure for wood-destroying organisms — subterranean termites, drywood termites, and wood-boring beetles. A general pest inspection covers insects and rodents that typically infest the interior or exterior of a home. Both are available as standalone services or together.
How long does a pest control treatment take to work?
Results depend on the pest and treatment type. Many general pest treatments show significant reduction within 24–72 hours. Termite treatments may take a few weeks to fully eliminate a colony. We set realistic expectations before every treatment and follow up to confirm results.
Do you offer recurring pest control plans?
Yes. We offer monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly maintenance plans that keep pests out year-round. These are our most cost-effective services and include free re-treatments between scheduled visits if any pests return.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a fully licensed California Structural Pest Control company and carry both general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Our license number is available upon request.
What is a Section 1 and Section 2 pest inspection?
In California, a Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection report categorizes findings as Section 1 or Section 2. Section 1 items are active infestations or conditions that currently exist and require treatment or repair. Section 2 items are conditions likely to lead to infestation but are not yet active — such as wood-to-soil contact or moisture-prone areas. Real estate transactions often require clearance of Section 1 items before close of escrow. We provide both inspection and treatment for all Section 1 and Section 2 findings.
What is the difference between drywood and subterranean termites?
Drywood termites live inside wood — they don't need soil contact and often infest roof structures, window frames, and furniture. Subterranean termites live in soil and build mud tubes to reach wood above ground; they cause more widespread structural damage. Drywood termites are typically treated with fumigation or localized spot treatments. Subterranean termites are treated with soil applications or bait systems. Our inspection identifies which species is present and recommends the most effective approach.
How do I prepare my home for a fumigation?
Fumigation requires all residents (people and pets) to vacate for 24–72 hours. Before our team arrives, you'll need to: remove all living things from the structure (including plants and fish tanks), bag or remove all food, medications, and open consumables, unlock all interior rooms and closets, and make arrangements for alternative lodging. We provide a detailed preparation checklist specific to your property when you schedule. Our team handles all tent placement and removal.
How long does rodent exclusion last?
A properly executed rodent exclusion — sealing all entry points with appropriate materials (steel wool, hardware cloth, caulk, concrete) — can last many years. Rodents can chew through soft materials, so the durability depends on the materials used and any new entry points that develop over time due to settling, weathering, or home modifications. We use professional-grade exclusion materials and offer follow-up inspections to ensure continued effectiveness.
Are your pest control services safe around garden vegetables and fruit trees?
Yes, with proper precautions. We use different product formulations depending on proximity to edible plants. When treating near vegetable gardens or fruit trees, we select products with shorter re-entry intervals and lower residual activity, and we advise on appropriate waiting periods before harvesting. Let your technician know about any food-producing plants on your property when scheduling — we plan accordingly.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes. If pests covered by your treatment return between scheduled visits, we come back and re-treat at no additional charge. For recurring service plans, this guarantee covers the full interval between your scheduled services. For one-time treatments, we offer a guarantee period specific to the pest and treatment type — we discuss this before beginning work so expectations are clear.
How do I know if I have bed bugs versus another biting insect?
Bed bugs leave small reddish-brown spots on bedding (fecal matter), shed exoskeletons near seams of mattresses, and cause itchy bite clusters — often in lines or groups of 3. They are roughly the size of an apple seed when adult. Other biting insects like fleas leave bites primarily on legs and ankles; spider bites are typically isolated. If you're unsure, our technician can inspect and confirm the pest before any treatment is recommended. Correct identification is critical — bed bug treatments are very different from flea treatments.
Can I do my own pest control instead of hiring a professional?
DIY pest control products are widely available, but they have real limitations. Over-the-counter products don't reach hidden colonies, can't safely treat structural infestations (like termites in framing), and often address only the visible symptom rather than the source. For minor ant trails or occasional spiders, DIY may be sufficient. For any infestation that has penetrated your structure, involves termites, rodents, bed bugs, or poses health risks — professional treatment is significantly more effective and often more cost-efficient in the long run because it actually eliminates the source.
Do you treat agricultural or rural properties?
Yes. We serve residential, commercial, and agricultural properties throughout our service area. Salinas Valley's agricultural environment presents unique pest challenges — gophers, ground squirrels, and invasive insects that move between agricultural land and residential properties. We have experience treating properties adjacent to farmland and understand the regulatory considerations involved.
How do I schedule service?
You can schedule by calling (831) 500-1613, submitting the contact form on this website, or using the "Get a Quote" button in the header. We typically respond within a few hours. For most services, we can schedule within 1–3 business days. Emergency situations — active wasp nests, rodent intrusions, or severe infestations — are prioritized for same-day or next-morning response.
